Well, you are never too old to see something new. Caught this high wire act up at the courthouse Sunday Morning. I’ve never seen anything that high. And I have walked the streets of Aberdeen!
Just as I took the picture, as I was sure no one would believe me something could get that high off the ground, it started dropping so I walked over and said Hi.
I wasn’t sure if the rumored Montesano Space Program was actually getting off the ground, despite the threatened protests by area dairy farmers. It could have been a Courthouse tower rescue? Hey, I’ve been up to the tippy top inside that tower, one could indeed require a rescue.
But, alas, as with all things Montesano, one is left with the mundane. Turns out they use this thing to wash the windows up there.
Judging by the clothes of the operator, he either enjoys wearing County stripes or well…..kudos to the Sheriff for finding things for the county guests to do. They would have to give me some time off for risking my life like that.
I asked his permission to take his picture for posting, and he was happy to do so. Very nice young man to me named Jared. He took pride in the work he was doing and very professional…… and wasn’t shy at all.
If anyone ever wants to capture me and torture me for information, put me in that little bucket. I’ll spill my guts after about 20 feet. By 40, I’ll say anything you want me too.
